I did that until maybe 3-4 years ago and bought some football cleats after a scenario game when my shoes got all wet (of course cause that's what happens to vans when they get wet... duh) I played in the cleats at my next scenario and I won a pair of swat boots so I got those and wore those when I got them for playing (what little play I got between that time) I re-discoved my football cleats and those seem to be the best all around for everything on all surfaces. The boots have ankle support but so do my cleats, they're hi-top style (not to high though) I felt like the boots didn't let me run like I wanted to. But I will never forget playing in my Vans... (ah the good old days... ) |

I never play without them( I don't play indoor). They are pretty inexpensive too, about $40.00 bucks is what I think I payed for them. The new ones are a little different in design, buts its mostly cosmetic. EXCELLENT SHOE FOR PAINTBALL! P.S. I remember one game I played in a ravine and my team had to move up the side of it. Myself and another guy, who was also wearing cleats were the first up the hill! A lot of my team mates couldn't even make it up half way, the others eventually got up to the top but long after we did. That really made me feel good about purchasing them. Hands down one of the best paintball purchases I have ever made. The Adidas "Blitz 3/4" is almost identical to my Grid Irons. The new Grid Irons are mostly white which may turn some people off.
