kids gear

I am starting to outfit my 9yo and need some input on gear that would work for him.

Mostly looking for harnesses jerseys and pants. Particularly a harness, probably a 2-3 pod version. Needs to fit a child. Any suggestions? Anything that you would stay away from?

Any goggles made for junior sizes?

I'm going to get my buddy to look over here. I know his 5 year old runs around the house in a JT mask of some sort (shooting nerf guns) and the mask is a good fit. I'll let him comment furthur.

invert youth gear, its readily available, well priced and the sizing is great. ive been through a few other brands of youth gear for my son and the sizes were still HUGE but the invert stuff was right on. you can get clearence invert gear on ebay from firstcall cheap.

i have not tried the invert youth pack yet. for a pack i go directly to topstitch and call richard tell him what you need and he'll build one for you.

as far as masks go your limited to whats on the market my son wears a flex and it fits well

Yep, he runs around in a JT Flex 7 I believe. The mask is a bit older and it belonged to a friend. I know from the field we play at though JT stuff usually fits smaller heads pretty well. Atleast the older Flex line anyways.

My son has a rare eye disease that left him blind in one eye so no mask means no nerf guns. He finds it really comfortable though and now he runs around in it with a pump playing "paintball" in the living room. He's only just turning 5 and it fits really well.

As for a harness, nothing I've had will fit my son except those older 100rnd pod pouches that have adjustable waists. As for paintball pants you'll probably just have to find someone with XS and hope for the best. If they have draw strings around the ankles that would probably help. How tall is your son?

I didn't know invert had a youth line.. interesting...
I wonder if I should grab some pants for my son for when he's a bit older. He would be thrilled.

What about chest protectors. My 9 year old daughter is wanting to play, but her mom wants as much protection on her as possible.
