(edit to save you the response) I know that an open bolt blazer wont work at all like an automag or piranha, and that it may potentially be a very excellent and high performing modification for the blazer. It is interesting, and I would have mentioned it but my point was that the blazer is at least equal to the automag as far as modifications go, and didnt want to go out and explain what the open bolt modification is. | p8ntd dawurld, an thensum Join Date: Apr 2006 Location: NJ | I love my SFL E-Mag; Walkable in E Mode, Light Pull in Mech/Manual Mode, insanely fast in all modes... and I love my Palmerized Sheridan's... KP2 has a thunky-heavy pull to her that I love, and the Hurricane Trigger pull that I'm still getting used to, is quite nice as well. Still some weight on it that makes her jussst right Been wanting a Blazer for a lonnnnnnggg time though. Will probably be my next Marker acquisition. Still looking into some options though. Hoping one will jump out at me someday. One or two on the Wall III looks promising. -baller

I owned a 2k Blazer, BZ2581, and shot it with three types of trigger on it: the single Sheridan, double 45 and a single 45. I never tried a PTTJ but have been told the 45 is the better option. The 45 is smooth but in no way walkable. I bought a Classic Valved Automag a few months after getting the Blazer. I like the trigger feel better on the 'mag. It has a more crisp release where the Blazer just sort of "mushed" through it's length. The Blazer was the quietest marker I've ever shot. Snapping my fingers makes more noise than a Blazer with a double-vented PPS brass barrel. The Automag is almost as accurate - and may be as accurate once I feed it the same, high-end paint - as the Blazer. I'm using a PPS Stabilizer, anti-siphon CO2 and a 12" double-vented PPS Brass barrel on the Automag, just like I did on the Blazer. My Blazer needed a rebuild in the first few months of my owning it. Specifically, the switch (3-way) o-rings were worn. PPS did this under warranty. I was playing up to 3 days of paintball a week at that point so my marker got a lot of use. Blazers are not infallible though they are extremely durable. They are also mechanically complex. Anyone can rebuild an Automag - just replace some o-rings. The Blazer requires a bit more technical skill and God help you if you screw up the timing. Call a spade a spade guys. Last edited by af895; 07-26-2007 at 07:20 PM.. |

As fas as maintenance goes I thing both mags and Blazers are rock solid. Both can be planty fast also. My buddy can really rip on his ULT Xvalved mag but all I can make the thing do is chuff if I try and fire fast. He can also shoot my Blazer faster than I can though so perhaps that's not a fair comparison. I think it really all comes down to feel, they're both great guns, can't we all just agree to disagree? BTW, I'm a Blazer guy first and a Mag guy 2nd but really want to do a pneu mag, that would be awesome. Avery | |
