How do you remove it?

You just want the back block off, or the whole hammer assembly?

When I did my MQ I tried to get the backblock off because it's threaded and I couldn't. There is probably a fair amount of loc tite on there. What are you trying to do?

Oooohhhhh, you want the IVG to stay, you want the pump arm to come off. That's easy. Take the bolt out and slid the backblock back as far as it wants to go (cocked). Then take the pump arm and rotate it, using the bends for grip, until it threads out of the backblock.

Make sure it isn't cross threading. You might want to take the IVG out so you can have the back block and the pump kit in your hands and you aren't dealing with the whole gun.

Loosen the back grip frame screw, then the IVG will turn. If you don't have the IVG tool you will have to use something else. After that comes out everything will pull right out the back.
