TAC 25th Anniversary FALL Stock-Class Game

Calling all stock-class players...

Tactical Assault Command (TAC) is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, and will be hosting a HUGE Stock-Class game this October. We are one of the oldest teams in the country who are still playing with more than half a dozen original members!

The game will be held at Strategy Plus in East Hampton, CT on Sunday, October 9th, 2011.

Here are the details...
• Entry fee is $20 per player
• Reservations with deposit are required
• Bring your own stock-class gun, 12 grams and empty tubes
• Stock-class rental guns will NOT be available, but goggles will be
• BYOP!!!! Paint will also be available to purchase at the game
• Stock-class gun and parts swap meet
• Stock-Class T-shirts will be for sale
• Overnight camping and cookout at the field the night before the game
• Rain date: Sunday, October 16th, 2011. Note that we will play if the forecast is only calling for a light, intermittent drizzle, or a brief passing shower, but will be postponed if the forecast is calling for steady rain for all/most of the day.

Strategy Plus is the oldest paintball field in CT, and one of the oldest fields in the country. Tactical Assault Command was formed from players at this field 25 years ago, and it will be a great pleasure to celebrate our 25th anniversary here, where it all began!

Back in "the good old days" at Strategy Plus, it would be considered average to see 80 or more players on the field on any given weekend. While we don't miss the oil-based paint that sold for $2 per metal tube, or operating the side bolt on our old Nelspots, we do miss playing in those really big games. We're hoping you'll join us to make this the biggest stock-class game since the mid-80's, as well as help us relive the fun, honor and challenge of stock-class play.

For anyone interested in camping out the night before the game, we plan on arriving at the field on Saturday, October 8th at 5pm (after that days games). Much merriment will ensue. We'll be setting up in the parking area so be advised that we'll need to be picked up and packed up before players start arriving Sunday morning (around 8:30am).

Note that our definition of a stock-class gun is the universally accepted definition - any pump-action marker which utilizes a horizontally mounted feed tube, and is powered by 12-gram CO2s (i.e. Nelspots, PGPs, S/C Phantoms, Grey Ghosts, etc.). Auto-triggers are OK. Semi-autos, Open-class pumps with CA/HPA tanks and/or direct feeds will not be allowed - absolutely no exceptions.

Time for me to put a vaca slip in for this! I had a blast at the first TAC game, I'm sure this will be not different.

The one big difference will be the layout of the fields. I haven't been to Strategy for a few years, but the fields are a LOT bigger than Waterbury. Lots of room to maneuver with a lot more cover. Factor in the camp out and this event will be twice the fun of the Spring game!

I will be driving from Virginia to attend this.
It has been 22 years since I have played at Strategy Plus in CT.
I dusted off my old TAC camo jacket. Then I gave Mike Casady a call and ordered a new Stock Class Phantom.

There are various fields with structures, bunkers, castle etc...
9 Picnic tables under a covered pavilion
A stage for our "possible" talent show
Plenty of room to set up tents.
Electricity for whatever.
