I will be at UA this Saturday if anyone is interested in coming out. I know most people will be busy, and it will more than likely be empty, but I will go anyway.

I may end up going later and stopping by some estate sales before I go out.

who's playing this weekend? i need to, may bring a few first timers.

also, how much you guys think it would cost me to have brass .45 panels made? nothing special, just flat panels with rounded edges. Aswell as a cocking knob?

Just trying to get an idea to see if it is viable before i start pestering Tom and other machinists.

trying to make finishing the STO a priority before taking on more projects
(got my barrel and lpr this week, panels would be for a benchy frame, not the composite pictured)

What exactly are you looking for in a cocking knob. I can most likely knock one out pretty quick if your looking for something simple.

As for the panels the brass plate would be ~60 that would be enough for 5 sets I think about 20 would be right.

I would want to put some kind of cool logo or something on them though since just plain pannels are meh. I'm thinking something like recreating the STO logo on the brass section.

i am open to whatever on the knob, i thought just a round cylinder or a short knob with 3 rings to match the back of the bolt.. though, i wonder if it just wouldn't look right having the alluminum bolt, SS rod, and a brass knob.

as for the grips, i originally thought just plain and polished to match the front end, but that design goes perfectly with the body. maybe only do half with the STO logo, so a couple plain sets will sell for other markers, not everyone with an sto is throwing a bunch of brass at it, and i wouldn't want you sitting on parts because i wanted something particular. (unless you meant if i would pay for the materials and serice and afterwards sell what i didn't use). i like the idea of only using the panel with the design on the left side, since the body has it on the right side so i may buy a set of each. but either way you have my interest! thanks Tom

As for the civil war paintball, that looks like a good time.

Also, props to everyone who played way back in the day, the weight of just the marker with the brass parts really suprised me

That STO is looking sharp cosmik. I have the majority of the parts necessary for an old school custom cocker build with brass pneumatics also. With my nightmare project right now, the cocker one is about a year off. It will be getting some crazy milling too.

Those look nice Tom. Oh by the way, I dropped you an email. When you get a chance, can you drop my nightmare valve and bolt in the mail?
