| Just picked up burgers and dogs for lunch, Rudy is handliing a few other bits. We want to hang together for an organised dinner? Sorry I can offer up what I did last year, our house is kind of not in the condition to recieve a gaggle of guests. (Still room for couch / spare bed crashers). See you guys tomorrow, I'll be at the field a bit early to set up, and hopefully we can get games going on time this time.

| 12 guns... 5 working well.. 3 shooting hot. Personal guns for myself and Joe are running smooth, his being the first with my own homebrew wedgets (work like a champ) Oh, that purple paint we got at the first big EMR event? Huge and still cracks easy, and when it hits 400fps... it just eradicates. Yeah, a few guns running a TAD hot, needed new valve springs.

| Great games! Really too bad that I had to leave so early - but it was worth it. My kid kicks butt in little league baseball and he seemed glad to see me in the bleachers. It's been a while since I've done that much hill climbing. I'm sore now - I'm going to be crippled tomorrow. Thanks to Azzy for setting this up!

| Thanks to Azzy for arranging this, I enjoyed the games that I played today even thought the rain turned the field into a mudpit. Next event I go to that has that much mud I expect to see bikini clad women wrestling. I do have a negative faults with the field, the lack of size made the games all very similar, dont get me wrong I enjoyed playing a new field. (getting my throat cut by weltman, shooting my own team mate in the back, shooting Jake's best friend on the tip.). The field owner was a complete muppet in my opinion, well we know all his opinions because he shouted them at us all day long which got boring very quickly. That I could put up with. What was simply inexcusable was the fact that the owners son drank several beers then went out onto the field to play, then drank several more beers before the next game and then went out to play again. He wouldn't keep his goggles down past the netted area. When he shot a player out he screamed obscenities at him, then when he got shot out himself he screamed F**K 3 or 4 times. Stupid behavoir that would prevent me from ever playing there again or for me to recomend anyone else to play there again. Had a great time meeting old faces, new faces and talking shop. thanks again.

I really didn't find the game repetitive too much. I tried to take different parts of the field when possible. That mixed it up. Last year they moved starting points around more, but this year with the mud, they kept them pretty much across the field instead of up and down the field. When you play up and down, the dynamic changes a lot. Yeah, the field owner is a character. You just have to laugh at him. He does it to bug the **** out of Azzy and the rest of us. Really, without him berating us over and over, we probably only would have gotten 3-4 games in between the bull ****ting. I came to play first, talk second. But I'm a quiet guy so... Paintball and alcohol don't mix. Save it for after the games next time. Like waht I'm doing now. All in all, I had a great time. I won't let one person's poor judgment to mix alcohol in there keep me from playing there. Then again I do only live 15-20 miles away so that is a tiny bit closer than you. | |

| I really enjoyed the games out there - thanks Azzy for putting it together! The field allowed for a lot of sneaking and creeping without being overgrown. While I would have enjoyed a little more variety, I liked the cat-and-mouse feel a lot and wish I could find that at more fields. Was there mud? I have to agree on the alcohol complaint - while the actual behavior by the drunk guy turned out to not be earth-shakingly terrible this time, I heard the owner make a comment about him doing it "again" which led me to believe this is not a one shot occurence. The potential for doing something really stupid in those circumstances is too high.

| He was playing the "bosses son" card. I had to ask him to put his goggles on so I could take my bag off to start the game. Ridiculous. The the owner goes onto the field to show me the raving bee hive that is on the field. He didn't have any goggles on but kept yelling game over. They don't seem concerned about eye safety. He only had three rules but goggles on while on the field was one of them. I still had alot of fun and I wanted to play more. I hadn't my fill. Last edited by The Weltman; 05-11-2008 at 01:42 PM. |

| First I'd like to say thanks to Azzy and anyone else who helped set up this day. Great day. Fun to meet up with a bunch of names I've read about here. Great talking to you guys. I would agree with everyone else here. The drinking was out of hand by that guy. He had no business going onto the field. I was there when he had his goggles up too. Absolutely ridiculous. It's easy to say the owner was a little over the top. I don't know that we needed to be berated all the time. That kind of thing might endear him to newer players or something, and I kind of chuckled at first, but that routine got old quick. While he might've kicked our butts into gear at first, he wasn't doing squat at the end of the day. We made the last 3 or 4 games happen. We would've made all the games happen. I'll say that I didn't really like the fact the games were timed too. We were self-reffing, but we have to have it timed? How many games ended just as we were pulling the flag or making a push that way? Just let us play. That all beings said, I had a great time. Good pump play. Great seeing some markers I haven't seen before. Thanks to everyone for keeping a positive attitude throughout the day. If at all possible I'll be back for the next one! |

| Buddy does have a way with words There typically isn't any alcohol comsumption at the field and Buddy's son doesn't play very often (as far as I know). I left kinda early, so I don't think that I was around when he started to get out of hand. It's really sad to hear the bad feedback about the event. I really hope that this doesn't affect your decision to join us for another pump game in the future. Again, thanks to Azzy for putting this together. Thanks to all of you for making the drive to play in our woods. Let's start the countdown to pump pandemonium!
