The length of a barrel does not matter in terms of an advantage if anything it is a disadvantage to have a long one.

Not really though in an invirernment like a small indoor field with blow up bunkers. A longer barrel can come in handy when the need for pushing them to peak out from behind one.
The drag caused by the friction in the barrel is moot since range is not a factor. And an unported barrel of at least ten inches could help with efficiency when twelvees are your air source I believe.
