| Active Member Join Date: Jul 2006 Location: ct | i don't come to this sub-forum too often(i should though seeing as how my team is out of ct) but i want to just let you guys know that i'm very glad to see that there is another "speedball" team that plays by a very similar code of ethics as my team does. last season was the first season we played in speedball tournements. bettween seeing other teams flat out wipe and cheat to win and seeing refs making horried calls or not paying attention to the game at all, it was quite a challenge to be, what felt like, the only honest team. we made it through and place 4th in the season overall(playing 4 out of 5 tournys). this year we will be playing at the novice level. to tell you the truth i think we gained some respect by playing the way we did and have passed these ethics onto other teams at our local field. i think that to make the changes we want to see in paintball, we have to be those changes. there are a ton of tips i can give you on your first season of speedball but the biggest is to have a consistent team. play with good reliable people. if you play a 5man play without subtitues, and play with those same guys troughout the season. you can play the 3mans but we skipped them so we could have every other month to practice as a whole team. also good luck!! |

| Active Member Join Date: Jul 2006 | Just go this email from Lori at the NEPL about registering: "Keeping this one short and sweet. The ID card Deadline is tonight. If you do not have your ID info into me along with a Team roster - you will wait in line for an ID card. There are NO temps - all ids will be $35. As a matter of fact - if you wait to do it at the event - it will cost you $40. So get that info in please. (information is on the nepl web site under Register / Register player at bottom) If you are on the registered team list as "Pending" this means if i do not see your entrance fee by midnight Tuesday - you will not be in the schedule. Schedule will be done on Wednesday. If you would still like to get in on the April 22nd Sunny Event - note the above deadlines. There are a few spots left! If you have sent in ID info - and have not heard from me - if something is wrong/missing - you will know that by Tomorrow. If you don't hear from me - you are all set. It is formally crunch time for me - e mails are better to reach me - i will reply asap. Best e mail address - TheNEPL@Gmail.com I will send out more info re: event by Friday." The ability to do the ID cards onine opened up relatively recently (with the past month it seems) since when I would check, it was not available.

| Active Member Join Date: Jul 2006 | Okay, so we need to each get a head-shot for our NEPL ID's for this season. Here is the link for the NEPL registration page (I could not find it from the NEPL website - www.thenepl.com): New England Paintball League This is what Lori at the NEPL said about ID Cards (April 2) Registration for player ID's is now open. NEPL ID's will be $35 for the season - and will substitute a waiver at each event. Each player will need to send their captain a headshot that is 640 X 480 in size (a medium size photo) with their name as the file name (example - johnsmith.jpg NOT 1234563.jpg - and make sure it is a JPG) You will also need to include your date of birth in that e mail. If you are sending your photo the the NEPL directly - along with all the other information, please include your team name and division. Email photos to NEPLIDphoto@gmail.com. Id cards will be good at all 2007 NEPL Events ONLY. If you play in any NPPL event - you will pay a discounted rate of $15 to upgrade your id card to an NPPL ID. ID's will be available for pick up at check in at the event with a filled out waiver form. Okay guys, so I guess we need to each get a digital headshot for the ID. Choas, do you want to sollect and then send on to NEPL, and complete registration? I can pass you the $35 fee for the ID, as well.
