Be interesting to see how this goes....depending on setup, it might be a great base to lever and very similiar to a real lever-action then.

Hmm, how would it get the air from the valve to where the ball sits in the barrel? is an external air line needed?

Thats what I was wondering to, although you can do it with a very, very long bolt.
