| My custom trilogy by noxx I have been meaning to post this here for awhile but have not had the time. I usually spend time on SCP and have posted it over there and figured I would post a thank you right in noxx's section. Below is the original text that explains how the gun came to be and of course the pics, thanks for looking. Matt I would like everyone to meet the HTS. Which stands for half blocked trilogy sniper I know the name isn't very imaginative but I it will do. The story of this marker is a long one and it wasn't suppose to end up as a pump. The story begins last year when I had the idea for a limited air semi and after some research and considering funds I decided on a trilogy sport. I figured with the different valve it would work better with 12 grams than any other cocker. So, I had to sell somethings to raise the funds and then decided on what to do. I purchased the sport for cheap refurb and decided I wanted the marker to be half blocked and midgetes and decided to have Noxx do the work since it would come back milled and annoed. Noxx did a really good job and after a short wait it showed up one Saturday. I was excited and that very night settled in to make it work. The three way barbs had some leaks, no big deal right? Well this is were the pump gods intervened for me, after loctiting the first barb and I was tightening it when the threads snapped off in the integrated three way. I was mortified and almost cried, but I held it together and decided I had to drill the threads out and hopefully re-tap. This was easier than I thought but I nicked the inside of the three way with the bit. To shorten what is turning into a really long story the nick was bad enough it was damaging the orings on the shaft. At this point I was cooled down enough that it wasn't a big deal and would just make it into a pump. I did some looking and settled on a PMP trilogy pump kit with there version of a hit-man mod. The HTS has given a lot of things to work on and try to figure out. The first was cutting and threading a stainless steel pump arm which was really easy once I figured out I needed to start with bigger threads and then gradually make them smaller. I then created a custom IVG out of a cut and grinded fender washer, so the hex screw in the back of the gun had something to push on. Then there was the springing which was took 4 separate trips to my local field to visit with a chrono. I made one discover that the new cocker spring kits are longer than a spring kit from 2000 both were maddman kits too. Once I had the HTS shooting at 270 to 280 I was getting 6 shots per 12 gram needless to say that stopped my plan on using 12 grams. The last thing I had to change was the hex screw/bolt that noxx used for the bolt and sled. It was an interesting idea to have it flush with the top of the bolt but it wasn't practical. I instead used a thumb screw from the hardware store and it holds the sled and bolt nice and tight. There is some blow back around the bolt but it doesn't affect the velocity at all, actually it gets over 300 fps. This is a big deal to me because for two days I was getting 140 over the chrono while trying almost every spring and cutting some. Here are the pics: |

| Looks good Matt! I thought having the screw flush with the bolt made the lins flow better but you're right, it isn't at all practical for field stripping at all. Makes me want to halfblock my Trilogy tactical now! Nice!

| I just read through my post and realized some information was missing so the continuation is below. The final configuration: Trilogy sport, half blocked, midgeted, and annoed dust black by Noxx PMP trilogy pump kit with there hit man mod AIM regulator KAPP grip panels SP rail and EMPIRE nano on/off LAPCO barrels its all I shoot For a valve spring the stock one, main spring is actually an older medium valve spring, and I am using a newer main spring as a return spring in the pump handle. The pump stroke is a little stiff compared to my other sniper but I hardly notice it and it had seen a few games now and it shoots like a dream. The grip is one I had and liked it better than the stock one and it was reannoed and has some milling on it to. I really like the hit-man mod and find myself using that most of the time. I have always wanted a custom gun and the HTS filled the void nicely for me. (Please excuse any grammar or spelling errors) |
