I'm in no rush to get it running. I'f I'm going to get another working pump, it's going to be a cocker pump. If I find a working one for cheap though, I might pick it up.
I'm tuning up my old BE Cobra, so that'll get tons of use until I get this one running.

Cool, if you wait until Bacci gets home from college and puts his next "parts for sale" post up, you will be ok. Get there first and he will usually have 1 or 2 cheap ones in the mix of regular priced doo-dads you need to get up and running. You can always tear down the frame and polish it. That took me about three days when I did my sons.

build them up with weld then re grinded them?

Perhaps you can take the original sear and the original breach and build them up with weld then re grinded them. For this sear I would trace it out first so that you have a guideline to re-grind to the proper shape. This would be a matter of taking it a welding shop. I have an SMG 60 with that has a worn out sear ... this was my plan to rebuild it.
