| How to build a Phantom feed into your 007 Here’s what I did: I walked around the house for about three days looking for that special donor part. I knew that with as many brooms, mops and other implements of torture we had around the house, one of them had to have a handle that would a) fit into the top tube of a Nelspot. b) allow paintballs to feed. c) slip feed a Phantom feed gate with a little bit of help from Mr. Electricians tape. I located a steel handle from a rubber broom (“One Sweep” as advertised on TV for removing pet hair from carpets, found in the dark corners of your closet or in Goodwill/Salvation Army stores). ![]() It had a 4 piece sectional handle that clicks together to make about a 5 foot length. I removed one section, ![]() and fit it into the 007 feed tube (check), I then rolled paintballs down it (check) and tried the feed gate (check and Bingo). This was about the 3rd or 4th handle I tried before “success”. I wanted a 12 ball feed, no use waiting to go empty before reloading. I had to remove a little plastic locking part from the inside of the section; ![]() I used a Dremel cut off disk to cut the front piece first. It was necked down like a rifle cartridge. I left just a little bit of the fitted piece on it so that it would easily slip into the 007. All the “flash” was removed with a grinder bit and file. ![]() I then fit the tube into the pistol and dropped 12 balls into it to measure the length it needed to be. I marked it and used electricians tape to make sure the cut was reasonably straight (a pipe cutter would have worked better, but I own a Dremel and had it out already). ![]() I removed the flash off this end too and then neatly wrapped it with three of four layers of electricians tape and press fit the Phantom feed gate on it. It all fits tightly and test loaded really well. ![]() I went from this: ![]() To this: ![]() To this: ![]() ![]() I now have a 12 round Phantom feed on my 007. I apologize for my technologically challenged picture taking abilities. An additional note: This handle section diameter also allowed 10 round tube caps to fit rather well. I’m thinking that you could make some 15 round tubes or whatever and since the handle stock is steel, they could be painted or powder coated to match that “special” SC gun you have. | It's going to take awhile. I'm in the process of "moving" and have a bed, my 007, a guitar and half of a "One Sweep" broom. I don't think I made bad choices on what to keep around. Last edited by skx762; 03-23-2007 at 11:57 AM. |
