Barrel will have nothing to do with air leaks.

The only seal to really cause leaking is the cup seal, and the O ring around the retainer or whatever holds the cup seal in the valve body <dont know the name>

I wonder if Palmer's could make a Taso threaded brass barrel for you?

Does he have a "data base" of odd threaded barrels or does he need one to copy would be the question.

People looking for Taso threaded barrels seem to pop up every so often.

I had a TASO pump at one time that was missing the barrel. I ended up sending the body up to the boys of J&J and they made a ceramic for it in a couple weeks time. The cost was no more than their standard barrels (around $25?) and the quality was great! No digs on PPS, but I had them price it, and it was going to be way over the value of the gun (something like $55 for the barrel plus $75-$100/hr on R&D to get the tread pitch and dimensions from the body and cut them into the new barrel).
