Phantom/Nelspot compatibility

So - does the stock Nellie bolt knob thread into the CCI bolt's nylon screw hole?

Are the CCI valve components compatible? I've heard that the power tube may need shortening, but is the valve retainer nut the same threading?

Yes, the bolt knob will thread into the nylock hole on the Phantom bolt. The hammer will work, but the sear won't. You can pop the roll pin out though and replace the sear with the one from a Nelspot (or Line SI) hammer. The powertube and valve retaining nut also both work fine.

I assume that the roll pin is the same diameter?

Yes, it's an easy swap as long as you have a punch the right diameter to knock the pin out.

what threading are the cci cupseals? same as standard nellie (6-32)?? or are they different?

Just a quick note about roll pins....yes, they can be re-used...but are typically designed for single installation, since they warp and expand slightly, creating a nice friction fit. Have I ever reused a roll pin here or there? Sure. But they can and do occassionally fall out or cause a hangup if they protrude. They're cheap, so it's easy to pick up a pack at home depot or your local hardware store.

Just my $.02, and experience as an M-16 Armorer.
