Of course, we're exaggerating.

After a day at the field, I wipe off the body with a damp cloth and take out the bolt so that I can clean/re-oil/check the o-rings and clean the breech.

Invariably, I'll have received a gun hit which will have filled the entire trigger frame with paint. Of course, there'll be a chip of paint in the slider trigger that keeps it from returning the three-way smoothly. So, I'll have to take that whole thing apart to clean out all the paint.

Autocockers are like the Rube Goldberg device of paintball markers. Every other marker I have does the same thing (i.e., shoot a paintball at <300FPS in a reasonably straight line) with a fraction of the problems

Steve at the store I used to shop at (and field I used to play at in OH) was a die-hard Cocker nut who always fixed my marker free of charge (except for parts), and even taught me a few things in the process. One of those things was always tweak your front reg to get your velocity up...and to try and keep that front-reg velocity between 200 and 230 (if I remember right). Now that I'm away from him, it's on me to keep these things going.

So that's my story. Thanks for the advice!!
Steve Pisek of Pinnacle Woods?? lol sounds like Steves incorrect methodology! :-)

YouTube - How To Properly Time An Autococker

Here is a link to YouTube. Hope it helps

PS. Could someone please make sure this video is correct. I have never worked on a cocker and do not want to lead anyone astray.

Ive always been a fan of leaving the gun pressurised and soaking it with a garden hose/in kitchen sink, when it comes to cockers and tippmanns. Ill do the same with an automag however I tend to clean the botl by hand

A while back I remember playing with a little flash program that teaches you how to time a cocker. It wasn't very in depth, but it was good for the basic idea of timing.
