Trracer Leak

Alright, long story short. Just got my first pump gun, PMI Trracer. Got it, aired it up, and it shoots. However, it leaks a bit down the barrel, and I am wondering what the steps to troubleshooting it would be. I searched online for a manual, but of course after I take the frame screws off it tells me to "refer to professional tech help". Ya, thanks, because I must be an idiot or something. I take it apart, but since I don't really know what I am looking at I am kind of clueless. However, I do notice a rather large chip in one of the pieces. I took some pics, and without a macro lens it is a bit hard to see, but I will try my best.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Check the valve cup seal... Unscrew the valve from the rear air adapter. Also make sure the little nut on the shaft behind the cup seal is not loose.Oh and make sure there is a big o-ring on the valve that seals it to the air adapter.

This sucker's electrical, but I need a nuclear
reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity I need.

^ bingo. Happened to my maverick. I put a washer behind mine to compensate for its being compressed from the years' use. And do be sure to tighten the nut on the back of the powertube well, I've had mine back out on me too many times

Check the back end of the powertube for hairline cracks. Right around the holes the powertubes are fairly week; if one side cracks but the other does not it can be vary difficult to spot the crack.
