OK so myself, MAr, Kynan, Agglet, Mr Smith, and Inferno all drove out to PBG 3's place yesterday to give this field a go. Here are some of my thoughts of the day.

First off: SUCCESS! I had a very fun day playing some good ball on this field.

Bunkers were well made and there were very little gaps (I am used to being able to peek through gaps) and they were well spaced making it just that little bit of a stretch to get from bunker to bunker but not so difficult that if your quick you will make it...I couldn't though...Kynan kept shooting me...

The layout of the field was great, both sides had their challenges and advantages. The house was pretty cool to play in and around. The cars in the middle made a great screen to stop crossfield shots. And the fallen trees and bush on the one side made for an interesting 'snake' like type of cover that a sneaky person *cough PBG3 cough* could use very well.

PBG3 has taken a LOT of time in making sure that the ground was well cleared, there was very little to really trip you up and I did not find any really sharp or dangerous edges anywhere.

I think that if some of the bunkers were made a little taller then this field would be pretty well perfect for games of up to 5 v 5! Considering that PBG3 busted his but by himself to build this field I wont complain too hard about that though as the bunkers as they are, are still good.

We got a chance to visit the lost forest, which was pretty cool to see trees planted in strait rows. This was the type of terrain that made me think it would be fun to go out 1 vs 1 with only a pistol or something all sneeky like hunting each other rather than knowing where the other player is starting...

PGB3 had set up a MOD tent for us to warm up in and had his home made stove going which made the tent quite warm and comfy! He was a great host and we all had a great time playing.

I still cant believe that Agglet drove up from Toronto to play! Super cool to meet you and see that nova in action!

This field and day was also special to me as it was also my first day playing with my new to me KPMI and I was able to get my first kill with it! (thanks Inferno!)

Thanks for the great day of play PBG3! Hope to come visit again.

as for the cars, maybe leave them there for the look, but set up like some sort of half-assed wooden blockade around them so people can't hug them when hiding behind them yknow?

keep the wood between the person and the car, so you get the awesome look of tossed around rusty cars, but no one getting impaled!

For the cars I would say the safest and easiest way to clean them up the way that I saw a field do and have done on my own.... Get some pressure treated plywood, don't have to be thick at all. Cut it to size to cover the areas with all the nasty stabby pieces and screw it in with some long bad *** screws.. Then hit it with some black spraypaint and you are golden

Actually guys to be honest, I've played at the field myself and the cars weren't an issue at all. Whenever i ran up behind them,i just gave it a sold foot of space.

I think anyone that plays there will have common sense (since it's just a small group of us) to not hurt themselves.

Really though, more safety is better.

then i guess it shouldn't be a priority! But if there's ever a close call or someone ripping their jersey but not getting cut on it or something of the sort, I wouldn't hesitate at all to patch it up a bit. sometimes it's just heat of the moment stuff yknow...your body sways one direction when you get up to run and accidentally nick yourself on it.

either way the field looks GORGEOUS, i really wish some fields around here looked like that. really gorgeous vibrant green and the wood bunkers look fantastic
