Thanks!

Here is a "kill" tape I finished up over the weekend.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUFlPyi4u_c

I was able to capture those kills close up like that with my ZoomCam that I invented. As there was no way to actually capture what you saw when playing paintball. You could use an action cam, but those are only good for right around your body, if you shoot someone at 40 feet or more, you can't see the paint fly or if it hits them or not...

So I started working on a way to use a video camera with zoom ON my marker. It took a while, but it is finally ready for others to build their own. This thing is amazing, and allows me to capture my kills on video, while the viewer at home can SEE the hits in HD of course!

Watch ZoomCam, How to build your own! Trails of Doom Innovation, so Viewers can SEE the hits! | Trails Of Doom Episodes | Learning Videos | Blip

The entire thing can be built including camera for around $250!

I like to shoot guys at long range... As a real steel shooter, and former archer, I really enjoy the skill of arching shots across the field and hitting your opponent.

After our games, sometime we play a little civil war/revolutionary war. This is a great game for practicing your long range shooting skills, and we play a LOT further apart than most people would even try it...

It is a TON of fun, and since people are always saying, you can't get accuracy with a paintball gun at long range... Well, this proves that idea wrong!

Snarky made an appearance in this video. And I had to use the goat scream that has been all over the internet lately... haha!

Videos are good.. just need to work on field safety..

Many of the pictures with players they players have markers in hand..

Not many (2/3 markers) have barrel plugs in them, the rest don't.. and almost all players (except 2/3) have masks on..

To me thats an issue..

I know i know.. no fingers on triggers, or safetys were one, or no air, or no paint ect ect.. or whatever other excuse can be thought of and given..

Accidents may not have happend before, and they may not happen all the time.. but they do happen, when you least expect it.. its why they call them accidents..

Other than that you guys look like ya have fun so keep up the videos

I would normally agree with you, Nox, but it's an outlaw field. While barrel bags are always a great idea, when playing on an outlaw field it's play at your own risk. He may have been very clear about what will fly and what won't when it comes to safety. His field, his rules so to speak.

I guess.. but I still dont see negligence winning in court if something did happen and someone chose to sue.. reasonable safety measures are out the window and all someone has to do is show a few pictures as proof.. may be his field his rules but safety should never be in question..

^thats why when i was there i was in field manager/ref mode the whole time (not the most enjoyable way to spend a day of play)...and my mask never left my face after i chrono'd.

He did attempt to remind everyone at the start of the day, 8am, to keep their masks on, but then they split up and safety is not really enforced, except by the safety conscious players. And no re-chrono after the initial one, eventhough most run Co2, and use different paint throughout the day. (i brought my little yellow one for when i switched paint)

I agree it is very risky, and that there are a few things that can be done to help with safety. But there is a reason it's called an "outlaw" field.
