We are actually getting ready to make a little base out of pallets. These actually gave me some great ideas.

We used to saws all the bottoms out of tires and stack em up, much nicer to run into than cheap splintery wood. If you use the pallets I really like the third picture idea, and A few of those small structures would be cool too, although I would buy some cheap rubber sheeting and put some staples to hold it on the corners.

Hardwood pallets, man what a great resource! How does that linseed hold up to the elements? Could you still urethane it after application?
