This is the reason I don't hate nor love sp. While they pulled the electronic gun patent shens, they also were one of the few companys that didn't outsource their manufacturing to aisia. Which is the main reason in my opinion our country is going down the pooper,we don't produce much of anything anymore.

Brewtt, I always thought "there" was used to mean a place, and "their" was to mean ownership. Damn public schooling.

Prove it. We both know alot of parts were farmed out.

The SP press quote was always "the machined parts are made in PA"

And cp is right with Smart Parts making stuff for other companies, you would be surprised in what they made in the factory.
Not really... I would be surprised when they actually admitted most of the components were farmed. GI Milsim is in the same taiwan factory IIRC.

Remember Lucky 15 barrels? OEM'd from SP.
The older Planet Eclipse Shaft barrel kits? Used to be from SP.

I remember one hater who was in the shop, ranting about SP and saying he would never give them any of his money. He pointed at a Freak Insert Kit in the display case and said "I bought an Eclipse Shaft Kit instead". I turned and faked coughing to suppress my snickering...

Yes, they did make a variety of items for other companies, though none of that really matters anymore

(For the record, I loved the Ion and Vibe/SP-1 but was 'meh' on everything else!)

you're funny.

one of the gardners said in an interview outright that they manufacture ions in asia to keep it cheap. back then the sales pitch was affordability before they swapped it to patriotism.

but for now here's this.

Gardners are looking to find production possibilities from Asia
