I'm thinking of using mine with my Reflex, though I haven't played anything but pump in some time. I've loaned it out a few times, and performance doesn't seem phenomenal yet, but I've yet to play with it myself.

My primo came in yesterday and I did some preliminary drop test. When you first load it up you need to give it a good shake as the paint tends to clog up at the feedneck. The paint will flow in small spurts before you have to shake it again. Once the paint gets low to around 75-50 balls they flow down the feedneck nicely. *cough* So maybe a 100-round loader would perform better than a 200, *cough* I compared it to my vl200 gravity hopper and the feed rate is close, but the primo spits out a longer stream of balls. I like the cosmetic look of the loaders its slick and clean with a short feedneck which can be good for lower profile or bad since less balls will be in the stack. I plan on shooting it on my pump so I'll let you know how it performs....

Not really I'll be shooting it on my black magic and maybe my alias if I have enough paint.

Good video of the overall look of the loader:

YouTube - Proto Primo Loader - Paintball Gateway

I think I might pick one up, but I'd still like a 100rd version....

I feel like you have to rock it bck and forth to get it to work... i saw that on the 'drop tests'. They were more 'rocking motion' tests. I feel like the shelf could have been designed better so it didnt get paint stuck on it.

I've used it over a month now--meaning at least 3 days worth of balling. First, on a pump.. a CCM T2 and an Azodin Pump. It definitely works great. Any pump stroke shimmies the balls down so there is no stop and shake motion compared to any other standard hoppers. Never had an issue other than the feed neck being a little smooth out of the box which resulted in turning during play but a rough cut of electrical tape remedied that.

I tried it on a standard mechanical like a the fields rental 98 custom. Worked exactly as others have mentioned, however did have to stop and shake when there were a few balls left--particularly where the so called "shelf" was. Compared to a $5 Archon/Tacamo hopper, i was surprised that i still had to shake the Primo as i didn't have to with the Archon/Tacamo.

In all honesty, its a decent hopper. I personally prefer the Archon/Tacamo method of dropping paint but the Primo works for what its worth. Not worth the $15 price tag, about at least $5 more than it should be but i guess that extra $5 is just by brand.

Is this 'BPS' out of the hopper or gun? BPS out of any hopper is at least 16bps for the first couple right?

Doesn't that 13bps only work if your marker can cycle at 60cps?
60ms to load plus 17ms to cycle?

I hate this meaningless 'BPS' stuff. It would be so nice to see hopper manufacturers list instantaneous load time (first ball) and sustained load times instead.

the unboxing videos strike me the same way, heres something boring and dumb from my life, that now you can watch!
Isn't that the same thing as an eleven minute YouTube video of paintball memories? People post crap for the sake of posting crap.

What ever makes you happy.

More balls lined up already before the hopper itself has to separate them. Try it, it works.

I just tried it. No luck. Six balls in the stack resulted in the same load time as twelve. They all fell at the same time and only the stack top separated from the rest of the balls.

Load time for the balls in the stack is faster than the balls can get in-line though. Is that what you mean? More in the stack equates to a longer initial 'quick load time'? If you only shoot in short bursts it would definitely help I suppose.
