First let me say to Dave (or whoever designed it for you) I'm flattered. Second let me say that I have never claimed any feed rate on the ZAP / Archon / TACAMO ARC loader. I believe the feed rate claims were a result of the gentleman (sorry, I forget his name ) from SO4C Paintball misunderstanding a comment from one of my salesmen that gravity was capable of 11.6 balls per second. I will give him credit for one of the best sales pitches I have ever heard in paintball though and if I had owned Archon I would have hired him. The 11.6 balls per second figure was the result of calculations a friend of mine made whose engineering skills are light years ahead of my own. As a result of further investigations and the help of high speed photography he informs me that the actual number is significantly higher. What the loader is actually capable of, I have no idea. I designed the loader simply because there was a need at the time for a 200 loader at the company. The idea came from Jim Lorezenti of Indian Springs Maxi-loader patent. He in turn had gotten the idea from Tom of Straight Shot squeegee fame. The Arc (or "bridge" as I called it in the beginning) just came to me one day when I was trying to figure out how to make it better. Most of the credit should go to James Rhodes who did the 3-D drawings and noticed the anti-blow back effect when he had the "bounce" rate set too high on a gravity simulation program. James is one of the unsung guys in the back ground that make all the so called inventors of paintball look good. He has taken a lot of my ideas and turned them into reality. Anyone who has ever brought a new idea to the market will tell you.....the idea is the easy part. And for those who think the loader does not work very well, may I suggest that raising or lowering any gravity loader 1/4 inch can drastically change the performance. And if doing so doesn't live up to your expectations well.....its just a gravity loader. I never even got the lid quite right. But it sure generated a lot of electrons flowing around the Internet.

I have a feeling that the "shelf" in the Primo is made from a different material then the shell of the loader. The shelf is supposed to react from the vibration of the gun shooting. I wouldnt call this "idea stealing" just yet, until I have one in my hands. We will see. Worst case, no one is making anything like this currently so its another lower cost alternative to expensive electronic loaders. With the shape of the industry right now, we should all be happy that companies are still investing money into R&D on new products for US the players.

The real question here is ..... Why is a company whose reputation is built on producing the latest and greatest technology going to this much trouble to produce a gravity loader? There was an awful lot of thought and resources that went into producing the Primo.

Well I just bought one (pre order). When I get back from Japan in Mar,I'll do a comparison review between the Archon and the Primo. I bought some Archon on Ebay, and just pre paid for the primo. You know I'll tell the truth once I test these. I'm excited ![]() Later, Blackrain
