| could use a little doe... | It's basically a scam. The "kiddies" buy up the stuff because "being sponsored" is a big deal to them. But in reality they aren't really being sponsored. They get the gear for cheaper and get to go around saying "they got sponsored"

So what are you referencing when you say that? Both parties walk away happy. The most you could argue is that it's a misrepresentation by both sides as to what being sponsered is. However they are promoting a company in exchange for a price break on their products, I see that as falling well within the definition of sponsorship. So how are you justifying calling it a scam. | |

Party, the problem is that it is contributing to a paintball culture of unreasonable expectations. People need to get over the idea that they have to become "professional" to have fun and advance their game. It only leads to kids getting burned out after a couple years.

I think it's a little disingenuous for KEE to call these deals "Sponsorships" rather than "Team Packages," but I fail to see how this is bad for paintball. It doesn't contribute to unreasonable expectations for players because the expectations it would suggest- that if you want to get something you have to pay for it, is perfectly reasonable. |

I say if you are interested in the stuff anyway and you can get a deal then I am all for it. Paintball is expensive and if this can teach the kiddies to get organized, play consistently and they get a discount, good for them. Basically no one is getting a free ride in paintball and if it works for you...then go for it.

Inflicted...I agree with you there. They are more "Team Packages" or "Group Buys" but in the end...it's all good.
