Planet Eclipse invades the Scenario World

As some of you know, I play on the scenario team Pub Crawling, one of EMRs home teams.

I was among the very surprised when it turned out we'll be shooting ETEK Egos this year

From the press release:
Quote:
After seven years of shooting the same marker, Pub Crawling has moved up to Planet Eclipse as their Flagship Scenario Team, and for the 2007 scenario season they will be shooting the Planet Eclipse ETek . The ETek is closely related to the wildly popular EGO by Planet Eclipse. Currently it is the marker manufactured by Planet Eclipse intended to be a crossover marker, courting both the tournament and the scenario/big game world. Planet Eclipse has an extensive stable of successful professional American and European tournament teams, including: XSV, Avalanche, Bushwackers, Infamous, Menace, Icon, and Method. The support of Pub Crawling represents Planet Eclipse’s biggest move into the scenario paintball market. When reached for comment American branch President Jacko had this to say, “We have followed Pub Crawling for a while now watching their PR and event attendances and feel this is a great way to get our company more exposure in the scenario market, we are very excited about this and hope to be at some of the events with Pub Crawling, the only thing left to add is “welcome to the Eclipse Family !!”
The press release at Planet Eclipse

Another big time paintball company enters the scenario market As a constant scenario player I'm glad to see this trend continue.

They are teaching us about their product, we're educating them about the scenario scene. Its a win-win relationship.

There has been talk of Pub Crawling doing a west Coast Game in the future. Some of my team met Psycho Clown Posse in the middle of the country at an event I was not at and I've played and talked with Shakes da Clown from the Clown Posse at EMR. Given time we may see more scenario development out your way.

Thanks for the offer it is much appreciated, I'll pass the information on to my team captain and our 'unofficial' head ETEK Tech.

Thanks.

We have the wall at the top of the hill, which we call Wall 2. (Others have called it wall 4....which is why I call it the wall at the top of the hill rather than the front, back or wall at the bottom of the hill )

The ground floor wall between the insertion point and the gate is my favorite space.

I spend my time making 2-5 runs per insertion trading 1-1 on the corners to clear the space out once the attackers are in the wall. Lots of close range welts.

Being that you're Pub Crawling and all, are you guys getting the grips with the bottle openers on them? I don't think those come on the ETeks, do they?

I don't really keep up with the electro world so I'm not really keen on the details but as well as I can tell, the ETek is basically the last year's model Ego sold at a more reasonable price. Is that description close enough for throwing horseshoes at government work?

Has anyone raised concerns about the fact that a move to all electros might cause PC to shoot even more paint than they already do?

Does anybody else find it funny that Blue's Crew moved to 'Cockers and Pub Crawling switched to electros?
