new insert kit on the market

TechT Paintball Products

Looks like a re-branded and expanded insert size Python.

No offense to Tech T, as they proved themselves to me at D Day in VERY positive ways as far as customer service (props to Todd), but why wouldn't someone just go with the original Python Kit? I mean, didn't LAPCo kinda rip off Tech T's mods for the A5, and now they're doing something of the same to Python? Or am I missing something?

Note: Not ripping on Tech T or LAPCO here....both companies are on my "VERY GOOD" list. Came back and read it and felt I needed to clarify. I own lots of stuff from both companies quite proudly.....

We have all been conditioned to beleive that using a 4-6 inch bore insert is the only way to successfully get the maximum benifts of sizing your barrel to your paint. Testing however has shown differently. We have found that only 1.75 inches is needed in order to obtain maximum results. We have found that after the first 1.75 inches, the paintball stops accelerating and the added length only adds drag and the potential barrel breaks.
Im sure these work pretty good, but isnt that like really wrong?

More inserts you won't use and only twice the cost of the Python. Oh boy!!!

EDIT: I did not see the 6 piece kit. Not a terrible deal (still well above a Python), if they let you mix and match what inserts you could get.

Uh, yeah. WAY wrong. If that were the case, my DD68 with its 6.25 inch barrel would be more efficient than something with, say, a 12 inch barrel. It is decidedly NOT.

I don't have anything against TechT and especially their customer service, but it does kind of irk me that Todd has spent so much time bitching about other companies ripping off his designs but he's blatantly done the same thing before. And before anyone jumps me I'm referring to them using the notches on the Squishy paddles that Wargear had in production first, not the insert kit as that's clearly a partnership situation.

I'm guessing these are re-brnaded pyton kits. CockerPunk got his hands on one and these inserts fit the Python kit just fine.

I just picked up a Python kit for my Phantom and Python was cool enough to throw in a .679 insert and the pump handle in on the deal for free (so I have all 5 inserts)... I am very pleased with Python,,, Plus it was way cheaper in price than what Tech-T is offering...

Obviously targetted to the TechPB "zomg must uber underbore" hoard. You can buy a .670 insert for a Python kit anyway..who the hell needs anything smaller?!

Absolutely a Python ripoff, they even stole the case style. Poor form TechT, piss poor form.
