| Retro grouch Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: Lynn, Ma | The problem all starts with the Police supervises, they handed the guns out to untrained officers. The guns are not for close use of crowd control but that is what the supervisors used them for. The FN were originally acquired for DC to be deployed from roof tops not the ground. I know a few State Troopers that were on site the night of the riot they told some of the ground supervisors that the FN were being deployed incorrectly. ( deaf ears reigned that night)

It's not just a suped up Paintball thrower. -MR Edit: Azzy, I think they are made in Belgium: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_303 Muzikman at AO has the only one I know of owned by an individual. |

every less than lethal weapons system has its problems and can kill somebody if used wrong, training is the key to all of them. ![]() | |

| MCB Member | I see few if any, people here were even IN a riot they didn't start or want to bring the noise in.... Try escaping from a huge mass of rioters sometime when you do NOT want to participate in such behavior. It's possible, but it isn't as quick as it may seem and depends on circumstance and location. It took me about 30 mins to get out of the Penn State Riot in 1996? If you are going to say "then never go anywhere that can happen', that would include all sporting events and concerts too. It is always possible in some extent and being a total non particpant in a mass of people trying to leave as a well amounst those particpating in the front line against the cops leaves you one escape route already closed, the area you are mostly likely to be 'subdued', or in the above post, mowed down......... |
