To say it was the girls own fault for dying is a bit extreme. Apparently, she wasnt one of the rioters.

A few departments in maine use the Tippmann versions, and have not had any problems. Though, they have also had the proper training.

Wonder if they'll have to revert to using Pro-Carbines like the Seattle police used during the WTO riots.

Part of why a FN gun was denting doors is that it uses a hard plastic round that is loaded with a weighted nose (bismuth I think) and doesnt break open as easily as a standard pepperball. A FN without modification will not shoot standard gelatin shelled rounds. It shoots at a much higher velocity, around 400fps IIRC.

Overall, when there is a riot, someones gonna get hurt, innocent or not. The Police aren't always at fault, and the innocent are at fault either, Thats why its called an accident. And it seems that society cannot accept an "Accident", they want someone to pay for it, regardless of the reason the accident occured, or even if they were as negligent as the ones who caused the accident.

Jesus! I take back what I said before. I was under the assumtion that these were just paintball markers shooting like 350fps. I had no idea these things were traveling at near bullet speed. Yikes!

edit: or that they aren't even paintballs!

well...maybe if the equipment wasn't set up to shoot waay waay too hot, and didn't use plastic rounds......we would just have a victim missing an eye and not dead...

They should just use mace super soakers! (obviously the super soaker would need to be hooked up so it wouldn't leak...)

Hey, our riot control equipments not quite as dangerous as South Africas. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DAO-12

If there is a riot and someone gets hurt it is the group of people who started the riot that you should blame.

Indeed. Where I live, if your a driver in a robbery and the actual robbers shoot someone your an accomplis to murder, even though all you did was drive. So the people who started the riot should be charged..

Well, I would assume that the FN shoots at something more like 500+FPS becuase I have had my P-68 shooting 415 FPS and the paintballs held up fine.

Haha, I am reading up on the DAO-12 and... I want one... I love this statement:
"The DAO-12 is difficult to (legally) procure in the United States of America"
