Actually...

From a friend of mine from the inside at SP....

The price increase is to chase away the lower end market... SP has been dealing with far to many user error issues from using Co2 , cleaning the gun out with water, angry customers that had only dead batteries in the gun.. and the ever fun stripped out vertical adapters because the numb skull customers back out the reg not the velocity adjuster on the gun causing a loud boom and a stripped out frame YAY!

The logic works... it chases away the lower end market back into high end spyders and let smart parts go back to the normal way of not having a factory tech back log..

SP need more margin out of a $30 gun, ( to produce) the new max flow was a flop and the Epiphany is being shelled in the market place. No one wants to buy an expensive Ion in an alloy shell. They are struggling to stave off buy outs and leveraging from suppliers.

aint that something, I had one of my old snipers at our local shop one day and some kids came in to fill their tanks. I swear it was hard to keep a straight face when one of them asked me "how can you play with such a small tank" referring to my pump handle!!

The worst is when they ask you how many times you have to pump it to shoot 300fps. I always feel like crying when they see the 12gram and say "wait, that thing hold your air?"

I just usually say something really stupid... like the last time I had my all pump games at work I said.." I have to pump it like 10 times to get to 250 fps but I have to only pump it half way as to not load a ball "

I still like the kids that run after you at a game with your dead 12 gram you just chucked going.. " YOU DROPPED YOUR TANK!!!! "

I thought they were 300 dollars new.

200 dollars is really a pretty good bargain if you run them on a vl200 and the cheapest HPA tank and score a good barrel for 20 bucks you an entry level gun setup for pretty cheap that is o.k.

Better off with a used cocker still id say.

I picked up those 12 grams when i was new and wondered if it was okay to use BB guns. I wanted to pick them all up and keep them though.
