Glad he's healing. Hope it's not lifelong, permanent damage. Ironically, something strange always happens on my birthday, and I thought it had graciously passed over my 40th. Guess I was wrong.

If he had a goblin, he'd be safe . I wish him luck in a quick and safe recovery.

Poor guy, Im glad he's survived and doing better.
Lightning is mighty powerful.
I was in NM once for 4th of July and a man got hit at the Fairgrounds. He was walking with his little girls but wasn't holding their hands at that moment.
He didn't survive.

One year in Dallas NPPL they suspended play for several hours because lightning strikes were hitting the field.....

He's doing much better now and thanks you all for your concerns.

Oh...and to Mayvik and brantom...he was struck in the head. Plastic markers wouldn't have deterred the strike one bit . He's very very lucky though and he knows it.

Hello, everyone. Apologies for the necropost but I know some were interested in the state of his marker. He just finally got it back from CO.

He slapped a new batt in and aired it up and it still works

Even if you start to leave the field and quit playing it takes time. Plus where do most people go when they are off the field. They could still get hit by lightning in the parking lot.

just a thought

Well GoG makes the SP-1 now so I'm thinking they'll be the ones to use that as an advertisement...

I did not give MAR any mayo...it just wouldn't be right to unleash that upon this Earth.

Man, struck by lightning... what are the odds?

I've been electrocuted about three times and its not that fun. first time it happened i was maybe 4 and had plugged a hairdryer into a wall after washing my hands and got zapped pretty good. i remember feeling just terrified because of the shake.

second time was from a powercord from a laptop at school. I stepped on the wire and it made a big spark, next thing I knew I was on my *** wondering how i got there.

I dont want to talk about the third time. it probably rewired me though....

either way its all just a pinch compared to what this guy suffered. hope hes okay.
