NEPL Officially announces Pump Division

The NEPL (New England Paintball League) has long served as a beacon for tournament players of all levels, and has provided a stepping stone for many teams to advance from the local tournament scene to both NPPL and PSP national glory.

The NEPL has announced today that they are establishing a 5 man Pump division for the remaining two events in 2010!

Following the standards set by national tournament series, the NEPL recognizes the growing numbers in pump play and is stepping up to provide the FIRST east coast NPPL Pump division feeder series.

Rules will follow the established rules set by the NPPL, format will be Open Class, unlimited paint played on the 7 man NPPL field.

Cost per team is 195, winners will receive trophies for this event with future prizes being added depending on turn out.

Paint at events is field paint only starting at 40 a case.

Its a good chance for any teams that want to throw their hat in with the best pump teams New England has to offer, and for National teams to get a day of solid competition!

Lets show everyone that Pump is alive and well on the east coast, and ready to take over! Come out and play on one of the NEPL's beautiful turfed fields and take advantage of this opportunity!

EVENT 4 - 08/28/2010 - DC LAYOUT!
EVENT 5 - 10/02/2010 - Vegas Layout!

There are discounted event hotels available for any teams out of region.

Its great news except...

NEPL has an awful reffing crew, two teams I know went to the last NEPL event and had biased calls based on them all event. Refs were favoring local teams, making fake calls, pulling people on stupid things like a jersey coming untucked. All I hear is bad things about the NEPL, Ill never go.

I've played in the NEPL and would agree with BigOldSkool on the reffing.

However, this pump division is still absolutely awesome.

damn... i would love to go, but i live in Miami... and i know the format is open class... is that open class only? or can modified stock class players play also?

I can guarantee that it will not be the case in the pump division. Also i think the nepl has improved greatly since previous years.
