NPS had every right to sue draxxus over the pulse, cause they came out with a type of RF chip on their empire b loaders. Yet another black mark on the Smart Part's name.

What you are missing here, is that SP's patent is for the ELECTRONICS, not the specific gun design. And Powerlyte liscensed or makes the revolver kit for NPS. And when did a Halo come with an RF chip? They sued draxxus for the similarity in designs, not the RF chip, IIRC.

your right about the loaders, but they are going after the mini and pimp for specific gun design if you read the lawsuit

Some good might come of this.
Last time SP went up against a company that could afford to fight them (WDP) they didn't do so well.
My understanding is all the wins SP had were against smaller companies that settled because they couldn't afford the legal costs.

Never have really been a fan of Smart Parts equipment, nor the company for that matter.

The revolver isn't that similiar to the Freak, so who knows what patent or copyright thier going to pull out of thier *** for this one. Maybe something like with Sanchez over the placing of a window to see the bore size on the sleeve.

I believe the Evil Pimp already had this issue, and it was settled out of court. Either way, they were never big sellers and there can't be that much money in suing over them.

I assume they'll use the electronic gun "patent" on the Mini.

They got a tough one this time, NPS and PMI has lots of money, and NPS has plenty of experience with patents and ripping off other people's designs. This will be a good one.

I thought Spike Lee was insane to try and stop Spike TV from using "his" name, him and the Gardners must have the same batch of lawyers just sitting in a room brainstorming about what they can try and sue someone over.

All your patents are belong to us.

It would certainly pay for the site.

Smart Parts is like Microsoft but with crappier products.

Here is what I heard at a shop in terre haute. Draxxus is being sued by empire (NPS) over the RF chip, because they had a similar and patented design on their sound activated loaders. That seems a bit odd, but that is what I was going on. My mistake. And the barrel kits, IDK if powerlyte is part of NPS, but their scepter system has more in common with the empire revolver kit that the freak. The freak does have bores, but the revolver and the scepter are both fron loading compression lock barrel systems. ANd I was mistaken on the issue over the markers. I reread the listing on PBN, and you are correct.

That being said, I apologize. Anyway, I happen to be a big smart parts marker fan. I love their impulses (never shoulda been discontinued), and their shockers are even nicer. I understand that a great many people dont like smart parts, but I just had to state my opinion.

Their newer "Mid Range" markers may be crap, but Their older markers were built to last IMHO. Their newer style shockers are awsome too. I believe that SP markers are not crap ( excluding the ION and Epiphany from that)
