That angled ASA design is pretty dated...

Yeah..not a huge fan of that frame design AT ALL. I'm sure it'll sell though. Maybe you can reverse mount one of those dropkicks and end up with a normal tank orientation.

Anyways, angled ASA with 68/4500 HPA tank makes no sense to start with, asthetics aside.

Now that I can see the pics, I'm not so excited about it. Still excited that AKA is doing something different than what they were doing as little as a year ago, and hoping it might encourage them to think about doing other stuff, like maybe working up a new electro. The Vike and Excal were great for their time, I'd love to see what they could do with the technology we see today on the field.

It would sure be a kick in the balls to all those people that spent 1500 bucks and tons of time cobbling Evil-Ms together if AKA released one. But I wouldn't hold your breath, just because SP is dead doesn't mean patents vanish into the ether. I'm sure someone is out there ready to snatch them up.

Glad that they are going to offer a non-angled ASA as well as the angled one.

I'm not too keen about the angled frame though. I would leave it normal and non-dovetailed so the end-user can customize to their preference with a rail or drop.

They better run a small batch, I can't see this taking off too high.
