They have no overhead on a project like this. Their real risk is little more than material cost. Especially if they're in the green already and have a machine sitting.

I'm sure they're just testing the waters. If they don't make more than a single small run, then every gun they make will hold that 750$ value for a loooong time. But if demand dictates that they make more, then they may do so. Either way, it's frakkin sweet to see another aka on the market.

In this market, its good to see just about anybody making ANYTHING. And admittedly, it is kind of cool to see AKA doing something to get back toward the gun market. Who knows, it might start with getting rid of overstocked cocker parts, but if they do well enough maybe they'll find inspiration to figure some way back into the market. It doesn't have to be electro's after all, pumps and pistols have had a surge in popularity lately while electro's have been falling off due to the economy. Not saying that's what's going to happen, but hey, I can dream of an AKA pistol, can't I?

I hate built in dove tails.

Why dont they just set it up with screw on rails and if larry at AKA wants a wedge in there, run a wedge for his ASA.

No reason to ruin a trigger frame for some people over it.

Well, don't get too worked up. He is claiming to only do 12 of these.

I guess that's why $750 un-ano'd doesn't seem so unreasonable. Small run, high demand...

If there was high demand he wouldn't be doing a small run. No one wants to get stuck with a bunch of hunks of aluminum sitting around. Even if he does 12 a number of them will not be finished for a long time and perhaps ever. It just happens.

If you pay for it they will build it.

The asa not the "bottom line mount". They are upset at the angle of the mount on the grip frame. The asa that can be angled or non angled is the verticle asa for the HP inline reg.

I'd be all over this, if it wasn't for that damn price tag.

I know this is resurecting a year old thread, but I just called AKA a few minutes ago. I was calling about Merlin body kits, the old style. The lady on the phone told me they are going to release the new Merlins in four weeks at the Paintball Festival!!
