And now they're in bed with a company that gives "sponsorship discounts"?
Why do you think so many people have "I hate Delta" shirts?

I think the effort was to define the fact that "sponsorship" is a mutually beneficial business deal, and not a team or volume discount.I recent years paintball companies have blurred that distinction in an effort to move product.

Cool swag to promote your sport!

Honey badger don't care! Honey badger don't give a @#$%.

Shipped price is valid to domestic buyers and will be USPS priority. International buyers are welcome, but will cover additional costs. Purchase of insurance is the buyers option. I will help out in the event of any shipping issues, but I will assume no financial responsibility once the package ships

Or maybe it's just not financially viable to give free rides?

They aren't necessarily free rides if they are written off as marketing dollars, the problem, if you want to call it a problem, was that companies stopped requiring anything from a team other than a fat wallet to become sponsored.

If you're team could afford a full gear setup from PE or WDP for example they would cut you a deep discount and presto you were "sponsored" it had nothing to do with your team's accomplishments on the field, where you ranked in your division, or how well you represented the sport it was just a factory backed package deal for anyone who could afford it.

For the teams that took advantage it was a great way to look good on the field and minimize problems since everyone was shooting the same gun. For other teams that had spent years building up relationships with sponsors and it was kind of a kick in the balls but I understood it and it never really bothered me too much.

hold on a second, what exactly do they define as 'exciting' or 'new'. perhaps they heard about my dilemma the other week. It was quite 'exciting' as we had 30+ 'new' valken rental-grade barrel bags broken on their first rental day, some didnt even make it to the field and broke while being attached to the marker. Or maybe the 'exciting' part was fixing 10 'new' Valken SW-1's that were leaking out of the box. Great way to start a field test of some rentals. ok I'll stop poking fun at their (terrible) choice of words.
