Nope... we (my team) uses the real stuff. Genuine U.S.M.C. MARPAT digital woodland pattern BDU's, no knock offs.

We didn't copy anyone. Didn't choose it because of any magazine.

It's simply is the best camo for THIS area. We are invisible. And it's harder for people to get the genuine U.S.M.C. BDU's so we're more unique then most, and we all match.

I USED to run Tiger Stripe.

Incorrect. You haven't played in MY area.

Obviously I showed up well on those speedball fields on POG Weekend.

I have even seen digital tiger stripe. And digital tiger stripe (desert). Go figure.

Anyway, my reaction is not so much to the clothing as it is to the digital camo you see on a lot of the gear. I have never totally understood the need to camo guns, for example, and I always figure that putting camo on anything that you can set down on the ground and walk away from is pretty silly.

Camoflaged gun bags are another example. Why would you want to make it harder for you to find your own gear?

Ha ha ha! Good points.

On a similar note... my brother and his wife have sets of camos for their upcoming baby boy. I just thought to myself... better keep him on a leash or you'll lose him crawling out in the yard.

I agree some folks go a bit far on camo. I can’t tell you how many times I have been asked to make a matching camo barrel wrap for someone. I have to explain to them that the purpose of the wrap/condom is for safety, not “uniformity”. You WANT folks to see it, not want it not seen. And good luck finding it if you drop it while playing.

Good point on the barrel bag.

A few years back, I played on a team whose sponsors provided us with black barrel condoms. Man, what a lot of bonus balls and comments of "Where's your barrel condom?" that I got even when the bag was installed correctly on my (black) gun barrel.

Doh!

If APG actually still was about rec and woodsball they wouldn't need an offshoot rag. . .
