The reason I think they may be teaming up is that when I got my magazine, it was in a plastic sleeve long with this special ops magazine. It's small right now at 24 pages, but like Jungle I am sure it will grow.

I honestly thought that "Woodsball Revolution" was a spoof for the first few minutes until they went well over-the-top. Don't get me wrong. I started out a woodsball player and still play woodsball every time I go out. I try to make at least 1 big scenario per year (NJ Nam this year with the OMHW crew), and I thoroughly enjoy the aspects of the games. What I can't stand is the blatant mis-guidance and flat-out bad advice that I've seen in Spec-Ops videos and on the forums. Sure, every forum has it's fair share of elitists and know-nothings, but every video I've seen from the S.O. guys has been little more than a thinly veiled bid for you to buy their gear so you can be the uber-sniporz or a rapier/dagger/whatever-outmoded-weaponry-reference-you-care-for rather than a straight-forward intelligent and tactically minded paintball player. It just makes me wonder if this will wind up being a real periodical with useful info, or if it will wind up being nothing more than a 50 page glossy advert for Spec-ops gear. |
