I worry about plated material chipping and getting into my regs and valves. Seen it before. Anodize, or brass. Naval brass is plenty strong, and the bonnets can be replaced, so there's no issue.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...

Yeah- one of many more reasons I hated the GA Myth regs was the aluminum wasn't anodized well, so I had to clean my regs and rams twice as often. I was filling 3 or 4 times a weekend, and shooting a case or two, but I shouldn't have had that much crap in there.

Hey Ninja, what type of ano do you use on your aluminum bonnets?

we use a local anno company and have them clear coated to help prevent this but it can still happen given the pressures and friction they are under.

shhh, you can't ruin some mike haters dream who thinks he has caught mike in a loop. then when hes a dick on techpb and gets banned he can brag on all the other forums its becuase he is smarter then mike!

mike often doesn't run gauges on his tanks, which freaks me out a bit.

Ah, I figured it out (possibly)... When the nipple is directly behind the frame, it doesn't hit my wrist... when I'm shooting a double-finger trigger electro marker. But when I hold a single frame, or a marker which I shoot with one finger.. my wrist wraps around a bit more. That might be the source of the confusion?
