| Mod & Underwear Model | DEFENDERS DEAD ZONE: Attached to the castle, defenders re-insert through the castle walls into the courtyard. ATTACKERS: Deadzone about 75 yards away, and down hill from the castle. That's a "line of sight" measurement, assuming you took the shortest route, straight up the hill into blazing defensive fire. *note* Map added to the "official info" thread over in "Events"

First ones out the door are the sacrificial grenadiers... they clear the first few rooms on either side of the deadzone at the expense of elimination. They are followed by a screaming, painted, bloodied and action-frenzied mob of defenders, into the very muzzles of the attackers, to carve another few rooms from the attackers possession. Then, as the defender reinsertion wave ebbs, the few survivors will bunker down and hold out like Japanese Marines in these recovered rooms until they are eliminated one by one by corkscrew and blowtorch (and, once upon a time... with orange chemical smoke) So, yeah... it's pretty much like that. I forgot to mention the "2 minute insertion window" that allows some would be wildmen (and women) the opportunity to insert, get shot and then run back and reinsert again (and of course shot again) sometimes 3-4 times, depending on the progress of the attackers inside the Castle. Good, unclean fun. Edit: As for dry spells and mud, while one of my favorite places on it, EMR is one of those very rare spots on the planet where you can slip on mud and choke on dust at the very same moment. | |

| MCB Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Southern Maine | Part of the fun of "large format" games is it doesnt really matter what gun you use, since one extra pump player.... on a team of a 1,000 players, will not make much of a difference in the "grand scheme". NOTE: Just read on emrpaintball that do to overwhelming demand, they are expanding the campsites to make room for many more players. So, I have a question: If I am camping, where do I park? Can I just park IN my campsite? Nick |
