I can't say I was overly pleased to see that. Especially after DC, where in DC we didn't even get our total number of games in. The NPPL rules specifically state a minimum of 8 games ( Rule 26.1 http://www.nppl.com/pdf/NPPL-Rulebook-2009.pdf ). We only played 5 or 6. You pay good money to get out and compete and then didn't get the monies worth. I'm still a bit put off from that. ... On the other side, they are offering a great package deal for folks to sign up for all the events, which makes that appealing and will make sure teams are signed up for all 4 events. You get a lot of perks, etc. It makes the pre-sign up a great deal due to the new pricing. It makes the slighly over $200 NEPL look very appealing. Good pump competition, cheap travel, easy to make arrangements, good people playing in it already. Per person that ends up being no more expensive than a day playing at EMR for castle or something. Actually it probably works out to be cheaper.

They only had the top 4 going to semi finals, when the rules clearly state top 8.

HB is fun.. I can't disagree, but I would rather do DC being so close and cheap flights, etc...

I don't agree with the $1000.00 entry ether and for as much as Chicago was DC is definitly nicer fields and a lot cheaper for us. But if were paying a grand to play be nice to see the have the rules straight this year before we get there. Also makes the NEPL look more appealing then ever.

have you seen what airfare is up to this year? and that doesn't factor in the raping for the baggage fees. and taking away the early reg discount and only offering it to teams that pay for the entire season up front, seems like a step backwards. IMHO i thought the discount they offered before to teams that registered early by a certain date was a great way get teams to commit. but it also gave teams a realistic amount of time to do so. now who knows what the cost of gas wil be to drive 13 hours to Chicago in May. Or i hate to see how much the airfare will be for Vegas in the fall. in this day you can't expect players who pay their own way to commit to these other unknown cost factors.

Flying southwest, Hartford to SNA (orange county) is about 370 round trip, no bag fees. Our team will still be attending the beach for the reason i posted above, But idk about the other events. HB is 50% tournament 50% vacation for alot of my guys... Our budget for HB this year is 2600$ thats entry, jerseys, paint, Hotel, and rental car. (excluding food, ID's and airfare). on that note We will probably be putting a team into NEPL.
