well first off i underbore by 3 to 5 because matching paint is terrible. that means for .679 paint im looking for barrels in the .676 to . 672 or so.

how many barrels are commonly available in .672? you got ifit (which is junk) and SOME brass freaks ... and thats it. to put that in perspective, most guns stock barrels are .688 or larger, the g6r actually has a "small" bore stock barrel of .685 ...

this thread is just .... dear lord

how many 10+ page threads are there on MCB about small paint and not being able to bore it out because barrels are too big? am i just taking crazy pills or something?

Shooting a match bored, lighter ball at the same FPS uses less gas, dude. I mean yeah, we're talking about marginal gains here, but it is what it is.

Anyways CP, I don't think consistent sub .679 is necessarily everywhere right now. I still haven't had any issues using my .682 Kaner on my pump guns. In fact, I've had nothing but breakage issues when I've tried my Lurker. .685 was my go-to size in 2006-7, so yeah paint's shrunk, but I'm just not being served brands that are below what my Kaner can handle. (I've got a freak bored Kaner back for when that happens though)
