XSV Shooting the Empire AXE
 

Empire Paintball announces that pro paintball team, Sacramento XSV, will play the NPPL series with the Empire AXE Marker.

“The team has been very impressed with the performance of the gun,” said Rich Telford of Sacramento XSV. “I remember a time when a great, pro-level marker needed to be out of this world expensive! Last month, Empire Paintball released the new Empire AXE Marker. On first glance, the marker may look like a Mini, but once the marker is shot, it is a completely different story:

• Extended grip and trigger frame and ergonomic grip for maximum comfort
• Smooth and stable firing platform with feather light kick
• Easy maintenance with unique push-button bolt out back design
• Adjustable bearing trigger with micro-switch activation
• On/Off ASA with integrated pressure regulator

Good for them nailing down a gun sponsor, and good for Empire.

That's not something I would have expected. Nothing against the AXE, but there is a perception that you HAVE to be shooting a $1.5k gun to be a pro.

It was my impression that last year, they were with Alien. Are they no longer with Alien? And the Axe is a NPPL only marker, they are using something else for PSP/NXL.

I agree on both ends also... Also owning an Axe, all I can say is it is one heck of a ripping gun.

The refs at the local field (agpaintball) would comment on that gun when I would shoot it. They were honestly amazed at how fast I could make it go in semi.

I think very highly of this gun, and I don't think most folks gave it the chance it deserved because "it looked like the mini".

Good for Empire and XSV both...

As for the PSP mode and what not, I wouldn't put it past them to have a change for this.

Hitting a snake with an axe IS the best way to kill one. Just make sure you bury the head since it can still inject venom. :D

I've been looking for one for awhile but you never see them in the BST. One of these days...

It doesnt have the range of the alien but it will still shoot strait.

My mini was an awsome little gun and i can only imagine hte AXE being better. Its nice to see a pro team picking up a gun that other teams and players would smirk at, as if to say how could you have made such an error.
