first i think the name is stupid. the line of possession makes some sense but it completely takes away a lot of strategy. i do like the break out line rather then a box. that would give players better field position off the break and less predictable. however i don't like how everyone can start with their guns forward.

overall i don't think this format would last long.

That isnt what is keeping paintball out of the x-games....

Money ball.. is his name really Money? Just seeing the logo for the show or format makes me think of stupid teenagers and big fake gold money sign necklaces.

Well, I'll jump on the bandwagon and say that the name is ridiculous, and the format doesn't seem like it will ever catch on outside of this guy's dreams.

I just want to say that this is quite possibly the worst idea since Greedo shooting first.

"Moneyball" ? Come on. What does Money even have to do with the game? I think that the thing that draws people to paintball is that it is an everyman's sport. I mean at one point I played for 4 months with my leg in an immobilizer.

If you turn the game into a Football game, the sport will go into decline because in it's current format, you don't have to be Carl Lewis to play Speedball. If Moneyball catches on, it's gonna turn into a game where the fastest runners are how you win games, and that being the case, why even have markers out on the field? If I can make a 50 sprint off the break and grab the flag, I can eliminate the other team without firing a shot. What sense does that make?

The name is ridiculous, no doubt about it. "Moneyball" as is will fail. However, one good point is that a paintball game that will survive on television needs something to center on, like a puck in hockey or a ball in basketball. This format needs some serious changes, but, I think the idea behind it is a good one.

Stupidest idea ever...

And I've never heard of a run "Threw".

Trying to pitch any type of an idea to anyone requires at least some grammar skills.

That sucks in so many ways but the concept of defense and offense is interesting. The X Games are suppose to be extreme sports I don't see anything extreme there at all.

How about a field thats like an obstacle course. Water pits, beams, walls and other hazards that have to be negoiated as well as bunkers. Play it as per football with downs to advance the flag down the field. When the flag carrier gets hit the play stops. Everyone that was shot out comes back in for the next down. Players take up position behind the line of scrimage and try to advance the flag again. They would all start behind bunkers so they wouldn't know which player was starting with the flag. Weight the flag so it can be thrown. Field goals could be a small target that the flag is thrown at. You get the idea.

I think something like that would get pretty exciting, but the field would have to be alot bigger.
