I think the most awesome part of this announcement is how many pro teams are using a marker that retails for under $500.

I think it is an interesting strategy to get pro teams to use more affordable guns. Its great. Imagine how cool it would be if lance armstrong was racing the tour on a 900 dollar bike. It would be pretty encouraging.

i think it's simpler than that.

k2 is bigger, can afford more sponsorship, and doesn't have a high end gun to give to its teams.

nah i disagree.
the economy is hit HARD and they are saying... "look our pros can do it with this gun, if they can why the hell do you need a 1200 dollar gun? get out and spend the other money ........PLAYING." there by spreading the money around more and helping the industry on a whole and not ....JUST THEMSELVES
