| The Brown Guy! | I wish those kids the best. I would have loved for a high-school paintball team!

| Active Member | while an official high school paintball team seems far fetch if not now then when? got to start somewhere. they make a good argument with other less mainstream sports have gotten acceptance and the safe nature of paintball (no direct contact) over other more inherently dangerous sports. though i do think playing at school while cool would be unfeasible with the high cost of additional insurance, equipments/bunkers, etc... -v |

| Active Member | Best of luck for the Broncos! The article definately could have been written better...I especially liked: "Pop culture loves this simulated war game where players in SWAT-style gear hunt each other with air pistols loaded with paint-filled pellets. Get splattered, you lose."

| Active Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Location: MO, soon to be MT | I tried the same thing in 1989 at my High School. And got a similar response. I hope they have better luck. Isn't DYE in the San Diego area? Those kids should contact them for support. I think it's great that a lot of colleges have paintball teams. That, I believe is what will get the general public into paintball. That way articles like this one aren't written in the same tone...that paintball is simulated war. Do those kids in thier bright DYE outfits look like warriors to you? |

| The Brown Guy! | Why yes, it would. You know that the media is only good at making people look bad, right?
