DYE Rotor = Best loader EVER!

While I think that the new price point is a little bit high, I will stick with Rotors as long as they are available...

It's easy to sit on here and question what brain disease Dave has or what they are smoking... But I there is a LOT going on behind the scenes with these companies that the rest of us will never see...

Sure, if you play with your Prophecy 1 time a year, I'm sure it works great... I just sold a brand-new Halo B for $30.... $30! The Halo B is a WAY better loader than some of the CRAP we used to have... The old FASTA's and don't forget the Ricochet...

My point is, they are not the DYE Rotor... I play at least 3-4 times per month, and travel to a lot of games through out the year... The battery life, reliability, and performance of the Rotor is unmatched in my opinion... So people, including me, will keep buying them as long as they are produced... That being said, I am still on my FIRST Rotor and don't need to go out and buy a bunch of them... I got mine at the end of the 2009 season, and it still works great... They are durable and they last!

FULL DISCLOSURE: I am switching to Pump-only and will be rocking a Proto Primo hopper pretty soon... But if ever play with an elecro again, I WILL be using my Rotor...

Just to be clear, I DO think the price is a little outrageous... But in this case I think you get what you pay for....

Just my 2 cents

And before I get accused of being this ^^^^ I'm no DYE "fanbois".... I use the Rotor and DYE Lock-lids, oh and I have a DYE multi-tool... Because they are superior products...

just an FYI at 189.99 dealer markup is only 21$.
they contacted all their dealers last thursday. We placed an order for 10 rotors at the shop. and will still sell them for 160$ till they are gone. It is the second hike the rotor has taken, along with a few other less popular dye products. The answer i got was that the overseas materials are increasing. I dont know for sure what that means but it sucks. I use a rotor and will not go back. Toughest force fed loader out there, and easiest to maintain. ive beat the crap out of mine and the only thing it has to show is some scuff marks. Best loader ive used by far. The plastic on the prophecy's is fragile compared to that of a rotor. That being said, it is probably the only dye product i own...

My thoughts exactly. $200? Those that are willing will pay it, and I'm not one to judge, definitely will, but for me that's an unrealistic price.

I like the design - but there's no way I can possibly justify it. For a casual user like me the proph is FAR more than I need and I picked one up for less than $100.

Exactly... Superior products should cost more than "just average" products anyways.

DAMMITALL!! I just used my second Rotor as trading fodder. Crap. My keeper is a V3 and it was a V2, but that's an easy upgrade.

Sigh, maybe I'll do this:
  1. Trade for a used one
  2. Hold onto it until July
  3. Profit

That being said, another price increase in today's economic times doesn't seem like the best marketing or business strategy.
