the point of paintball is to have fun. If having a milsim type marker helps one have fun while playing, then all the power to it. If wearing BDUs, tac vests, plate carriers, anything military like, or a 30+" marker help you have fun, then all the more power to it.
The exception is when you whatever helps you have more fun ruins the game for others. (e.g. over shooting, lasers, etc)

I agree, when playing painball there is a supension of reality for a period of time. for a few hours you are who you want to be, Joe player: be it in the woods, in a tourment or at a big game. You can suppend you real life and just go have fun. Shot the marker you want, dress like you want, carry the gear you want, and play as much or as little as you want.

It is silly to berate any player for what he/she shoots or how he/she dresses.

To restate the above the only exception is if a player is a jack wagon, likes to wipe, over shot, and other non necessary behavior. Otherwise play and have fun.

As for this marker, It looks really cool. Not my cup of tea today but 10 years ago I would have killed or died to have one like that.

Yeah, the TM-15 is a wonder. I think the weight actually hurts it. We have people pick up Milsigs (same or higher price point, far less gun for the money) because they feel more robust. Those looking for military style guns don't want low weight, or at least so it would seem.

Yep. There's a new club around where we live (I say "new" but really, it's the first and only paintball interest group in the area), they started off playing at our field with 98s, bought some very milsim markers, and now half of them run around with Eteks. And last week, a few of them bought pumps. That said, some of them still play with the heavy markers all the time, and all of them play together.

And most importantly, no one gives the other person **** for the kind of marker or dress code they use.
