Kingman just posted their MSRP for this as $280...
...but ANSGear.com has them up for pre-order for $230.

Either way, it looks like it will only barely undercut the cost of buying a new BT/Tippmann and installing the Tacamo kit.

Kingman's other 2012 guns are up too.
Looks like most of them have had their looks reworked in some way or another. http://www.ansgear.com/Spyder_Guns_On_Sale_s/2859.htm

once piece barrel on all spyders now.

makes sense. they never came out with extra backs for their 2 piece.

can't justify $230 for that gun. then again i am not the target market.

and it looks like the fenix is the only one still using their extra small body. i wonder why they don't let the other entry guns do it, it works just fine.

Ergonomics maybe? The Fenix puts the grip frame and foregrip awfully close together.

Kingman has posted a video.
Those of you who have used Milsig/Tacamo magazines, how does the loading and magazine insertion compare?

Wow. That magazine design is chintzy as HELL. WTF.

I mean, it'll be reliable, which is good, but they really couldn't figure out a way to release the spring follower when you insert the magazine?

Retailers sell them right at MAP, rarely at MSRP. Which I never understood why they simply dont make the MSRP the MAP.

Anyway, it looks cool, but I think kingman missed the boat with the milsim look. Tippmanns already flooded the market with milsim style markers and they continue to produce and sell them.

I don't know how well the duel loading system will be liked by players. I honestly think it's stupid, why have the look and an operating magazine then a silly hopper on top. Pick one or the other.

I have used both Milsig and rap4 mags (basically the same) It looks as though Spyder copied the deisgn from the tpx! I find that the system spyder uses would not allow for fast magazine change and what a PITA to insert the mag! IMO

Well you don't have to run both at the same time. If this thing was FS compatible I'm sure it'd be an amazing marker. Shoot with the hopper primarily, switch over to a mag when you want FS rounds. That'd be something really cool.

What is the gun made of? Plastic? or Aluminum? Looks like a solid product so far...
