Cousins Paintball Being Shut Down/Forced to Leave - Page 2

This being my home outdoor field as well, I would really love to see what dicky's reaction to being evicted would be. Little sack of crap should go crawl back into the hole he squirmed out of and let the rest of us live.

The whole thing looks like the town was looking for an excuse to get rid of the field. Maybe the occationally act of vandalism? or shady characters roaming the town at night?

I'm sure Cousins has a lawyer. If there is a way out.... that doesnt involve millions of court fees... they will find it.

Lots of memories for me at that field, including the time I nearly burnt down the field!

Oh wow. I have never been to this field but to Hivi several times in Coram. Sorry to hear this........

What's really sad is, before Cousins and High Velocity were there - this land was the start of Paintball on Long Island back in the NSG days when two brothers, Mike and John ran the field. It was among the first paintball fields in the country back at the start of the game and where I first played in 83. Nelspots and PGs and aluminum tube nelson oil based paint and shop goggles.

The NSG days had the whole area - we had huge fields. There were no houses and on one side of the dirt road was NSG and on the other side was a hunting and a gun club.

This is a real shame.

For those who've never been out there - Brookhaven (also known locally as Crookhaven because of corruption) is a township. The field was out in the middle of no where but development has been creeping in over time

Maybe it can be saved as a historic site! There are laws for that aren't there.
