Lovecraft, the bolt is definitely decoupled. You can see it attached to the pump arm with a pin. The hammer is only cocked back with the pump arm, not coupled to it.. I assume that it rides on a powertube coming out of the valve.

If it requires a discussion about how it works from a pretty good cross section drawing.............I don't think I want it. am I the only one that has a love of pump guns because they are generally simple and easy to maintain?
